Join us for a 3-day retreat to Pinnacles National Park in the Salinas Valley. October is a fantastic time to visit, with fewer crowds and cooler temperatures for perfect hiking conditions. This park is truly a hidden gem in the SF Bay offering a fascinating landscape of unique geological features like the iconic pinnacles (spires of rock), caves and diverse wildlife and ecosystems. This is a unique opportunity to connect with nature in a landscape that feels both rugged and surreal. We’ll hike nearby trails, experience forest bathing, practice yoga stretching, explore talus caves, unwind and focus on our wellness, and sleep well under the stars. We take care of the logistics and permits - you just have to show up! TIMING & TRANSPORTATION: We’ll meet at our campsite after 3pm on Friday. We suggest carpooling and are happy to help coordinate. Our trip will end sometime after breakfast on Sunday. LEVEL: Intermediate HIKES: High Peaks, Balconies Cave, Bear Gulch Cave and Bear Gulch Reservoir are on the list! For our big hike, you can expect to hike ~8 miles with ~1000 ft. elevation gain. We’ll also tentatively plan to take shorter distance hikes as well. MEALS: Prepared meals Friday dinner - Sunday breakfast + snacks, appetizers, filtered water, and hot beverages are provided. Your guides are foodies! We aim for camping gourmet with an impressive presentation. You can expect healthy, organic and locally sourced, leaning towards plant based. Have a dietary restriction? No problem! GEAR: Tents, sleeping mats, headlamps and chairs are provided (unless you prefer to bring your own). See our “Gear” page for more info. We’ll also suggest personal items in a packing list you’ll receive upon booking. AMENITIES: Restrooms, picnic tables, fire pits, and a camp store!
